Standing above Things

In the fall of 2002 the "Hochheide" tower was opened on top of the "Ettelsberg" mountain and is the town's noticeably landmark ever since. The 59 m high tower at 875 m above sea level is the highest viewing platform of North West Germany. The amazing view will certainly be remembered for a long time. Let your eye wander around the fascinating mountains of the "Hochsauerland" and "Waldecker Land" region or even further at good weather conditions. Walk up 241 stairs or simply use the comfortable cable car. Each lift cabin can seat up to 8 people and is handicapped accessible.

A special experience for kids is the children's playground at the foot of the tower.

Our hint: The combined ticket of cable car + visit of the tower = saving money.
